Current Water at Issaquah Creek.

Welcome to Current Water 8/08/2017

Welcome to Current Water. I’m in Seattle for the next two weeks and will be working remotely from our boat, The Prom Queen, on Lake Union. We have a 65′ covered slip with a magnificent view overlooking downtown Seattle and the Space Needle, one block from Starbucks, and a short walk to MOHAI and the South Lake Union trolley. It doesn’t get any better than this.

Our sweet 9-year granddaughter is flying in tonight (all by herself) for a one-week visit on the boat with us. She turns 10 tomorrow and we’re planning a fun visit to The Museum of Pop Culture (formerly the EMP) as she has become a big Kurt Cobain fan. I’ll continue to try to write this week, but she will be my first priority.   I can’t wait to take her fishing this week, as well as visiting the Pacific Science Center, the aquarium, taking the ferry over to Bainbridge, going out to dinner via dinghy, and maybe even taking the boat through the locks to go crabbing.

Duck Dodge sailboat races on Lake Union.
Duck Dodge sailboat races on Lake Union. It’s hard to have a sailboat race with no wind!

While we’re waiting for her flight to arrive we’re sitting out back watching “Duck Dodge”–the sailboat races on Lake Union. Not much wind tonight, so it’s slow going!!

I’m working on some story ideas that I’m excited about. I can’t wait to get back to writing, but in the meantime, I hope everyone has a great week.
